Is your Skin79 BB Cream in Hot Pink authentic or fake?

Howdy! I'm sure everybody has noticed that recently, there are more imitation cosmetic products that are coming out in the market. Singapore authentic, Hong Kong/China authentic, whatever.. I did a little research on how to tell the difference between an authentic Skin79 BB Cream in hot pink from the fake one. Skin79 has recently changed the packaging of their products and here are the significant details I found out in verifying the authenticity of your Skin79 BB Cream in hot pink. Basically the fake ones are still sporting the older look of the packaging.

Let's start with the box:
1) Real: shorter box, Fake: taller box
2) Real: writings on the front of the box are thinner and sharper including the logo, Fake: writings are thicker

3) Real: no barcode at the back of the box, Fake: has barcode at the back of the box
4) Real: has a dotted line at the back of the box where you could rip the box open, Fake: has no dotted line

5) Real: barcode can be found at the bottom of the box, Fake: no barcode at the bottom
6) Real: has both manufacture and expiration date at the bottom of the box, Fake: only has the expiration date at the bottom of the box

7) Real: noticeable circle around the SUPER+ Beblesh Balm label on top of the box, Fake: circle at the top of the box is not that noticeable

8) Real: has writings in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean inside of the box, Fake: only has the Skin79 logo printings inside of the box.

Now let's go check out the bottle:
9) Real: bottle is shorter, Fake: bottle is taller
10) Real: no plastic cover on the product dispensing spout, Fake: still has a plastic cover on the product dispensing spout
11) Real: Skin79 logo at the front is closer to the base of the bottle, Fake: Skin79 logo is slightly higher from the base

12) Real: press down button for product dispensing is silver in color, Fake: press down button is white in color

13) Real: manufacture date can also be found at the base of the bottle, Fake: manufacture date can be found at the lower part of the surface of the bottle, not at the base

14) Real: has authenticity sticker, Fake: doesn't have authenticity sticker
15) Real: base color is pink, Fake: has a silver colored base

16) Real: circular shaped dispenser button on top, Fake: half-capsule shaped dispenser button on top

So far these are the many obvious ways to tell whether a Skin79 BB Cream in hot pink is authentic or fake. With regard to the product itself, of course quality is definitely better with the authentic one. The fake product looks runny and doesn't blend well on the skin. In terms of the effects of the fake product, I don't think I'd wanna know... haha!

I hope you find this post helpful! If you wanna get your hands on 110% authentic Korean make-up, check out one of my favorite online stores, Han Ryu. The next blog entry that I'll be working on would be my review of the Skin79 BB Cream in hot pink! I'm sooo looking forward to sharing my personal insights on this specific product. :)

BB Creams

Howdy! I'm baaaack! :) I just came home from an awesome 4-day vacay in Baguio. Now, back to blogging haha! Oh by the way, I wanna holler to the people who actually read my posts! I didn't really expect people to spend some of their precious time to read about my random thoughts of my gayness. Thanks y'all! ;)

So anyway, one of the topics that I always wanted to blog on is about BB Cream. It's been around for a couple of years, women all over are raving about it, yet some are still clueless about it. So yeah, what exactly is a BB Cream??

BB or Blemish Balm Cream (some call it "Beblesh Balm", I dunno what beblesh means though haha!) originated in Germany as a post laser surgery treatment due to its multifunctional properties, most especially in helping to soothe and heal scars, and concealing blemishes. We all know that plastic surgery is very common amongst Koreans so I'm assuming this is one of the main reasons why Korean cosmetic companies thought of mass producing BB Creams. So ingenious! And we all thought Koreans were naturally born with perfectly flawless skin... harhar!
Skin Food Aloe Sun BB Cream, #2

What is the difference between a BB Cream and the normal foundation? BB Cream is an all in one make-up product that has multiple functions, a foundation itself being one of them. So, what exactly can a BB cream do for you? A LOT!! It can serve as a make-up base/primer, moisturizer, sunblock, foundation, concealer, for quick recovery of pimple scars or blemishes, helps in preventing blemish development, whitening of dark spots, whitening of the face in general, brightens the face, treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, pore tightening/toning, oil control, or simply serves as a natural make-up! It's like OMG a miracle make-up, yes! Unbelievable, you say? Well you better try it and see for yourself. You just need to choose which one is best for you. So far, this one works best for my oily/combination skin :)
Skin79 Super+ BB Cream in Hot Pink

On a personal note, after about a month of non-consecutive daily use of BB Creams, I noticed how it worked for me beneficially as it:
1) quickly helped heal my fresh pimple wounds
2) lightened my dark spots/pimple scars much faster than its normal clearing time
3) whitened my face
4) tightened my pores
5) some of my fine lines disappeared
6) made my skin more elastic, soft and silky smooth to the touch even without make-up on (this may sound silly but I would usually unconsciously find myself running my hands all over my cheeks to feel its texture in amazement with its smoothness)
7) takes me a shorter amount of time to do my make-up

Of course we must keep in mind that people have varying skin types so not all BB Creams would have the same effect on others. Again, you must look for "the one" that will work best with you. Don't worry, some stores offer BB Cream trial packs so you don't have to buy the full-sized tubes just to find out if it suits you lol!

Some of the things to consider in choosing a BB Cream would be:
->your skin type (dry, normal, oily, combination, sensitive, etc)
->skin tone (some BB Creams have multiple shades like foundations but some only have 1 shade available)
->effect you would like to achieve (matte/dewy finish, luminous, etc)
->coverage (no make-up look, hides blemishes, conceals dark circles, etc)
->price (of course, horse! :'p)

Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream

Just a tip:
Even though BB Creams may have multiple beneficial effects, you should still follow your usual make-up cleansing regimen after your day is done. This is still make-up, and all make-up should be removed before going to bed so that your skin could easily breathe through your pores. :)

I hope this post was very helpful! How about you, have you already switched to using BB Creams? If so, which one are you using and what are your comments about it? I'd love to hear from you.

Till my next post. Yeeehaaaw!! <):)
